Агрегатор оценок Metacritic в рамках подведения итогов опубликовал список из 40 лучших видеоигр, вышедших на ПК в 2021 году. Он был составлен в соответствии со средней оценкой от игровых изданий.
Редакторы учитывали баллы, которые были выставлены тайтлам на 2 января 2022 года. Первое место досталось Disco Elysium: The Final Cut — у игры 97 баллов из 100. В список попали сразу две части Final Fantasy: ремейк седьмой игры серии занял девятое место, а свежее дополнение для MMO Final Fantasy XIV: Endwalker — третье.
